Dr. Iantheya K. Brown- Benson

Iantheya "Kayla" Brown-Benson is a woman of strength, resilience, and faith. Her life has been shaped by deep adversity, including losing her son at 25 weeks pregnant, experiencing domestic violence, and becoming a mother at a young age. Though painful, these challenges built her relationship with God, leading her to surrender and trust in Him fully. Her faith has anchored her when she felt she might lose hope. Today, she calls herself a walking testimony to the power of Jesus Christ.

Iantheya is married to Christopher Benson, and they live in Columbia, South Carolina, with their four children. Her family is a constant source of love and joy. Through Kingdom K.E.Y.S., her mission is to give women and girls tools for joy, hope, and strength. Her work is rooted in the belief that each day offers a chance to improve.

Iantheya holds a Doctoral Degree in Education focused on School and Community Leadership. Her advanced education helps her serve her community with a strong understanding of leadership. She empowers others, showing service and dedication in all she does.

​

Beyond her nonprofit work, Iantheya is the author of "Nurtured by the Good Shepherd: A 12-Month Journal Inspired by Psalms 23," to be published in 2026. The journal grew from her search for God’s peace, and she hopes it inspires others in their faith.

​

When she is not immersed in her leadership and service roles, Iantheya enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. She constantly reminds those she encounters that God created us to live purpose-driven lives, encouraging everyone to make a positive impact on the world around them. Her life’s work is a living testament to her faith, resilience, academic accomplishments, and dedication to lifting others up, one day at a time.
